PVC BALL VALVE types, characteristics and applications

RMI PLASTIC offer several types of PVC ball valves, include true union Ball Valve, Flange Ball Valve, three way ball valve, compact ball valve etc. The most widely used is PVC Ball Valve true union type and PVC Ball Valve Flange type.The principle and application of these two types PVC ball valves are basically the same, but their structure and characteristics have some difference.

PVC ball valve true union type is 3 pcs split body structure, each end socket glue connection with unions, if valve body broken only need to release the union and replace the valve body, will not damage the pipelines. PVC true Union Ball Valve use rubber seals, because of split body there are several positions need install rubber o ring, in this case there are some potential leaking points, though we offer different materials of rubber seal ring according to the different mediums, but sometimes the o ring will invalid due to improper material selection, high temperature and long-term use, and cause valve leaking problem. The PVC ball valve true union type size range from DN15 to DN100, but the regular used size is DN15 to DN50, because size larger the leaking risk is higher, and we suggest use flange type ball valve.

PVC ball valve flange type is one piece body injection molded, simple structure and durable, there is no rubber o rings in the valve, so no need to consider the rubber chemical resistance when select the material, stem packing is PTFE compressed. So the PVC flange ball valve has less leaking points. Flange end enable to connect to the different material and different standard pipelines, generally it fit flange standard DIN PN10/16, ANSI CL150 and JIS 10. PVC ball valve flange type size from DN15 to DN250, size upper DN50 is reduced bore, customer should consider the flow rate if use. Size below DN150 is hand lever operate, from DN200 to DN250 is worm gear drive.

PVC double union ball valve is light weight, low cost, simple installation, so a lot of use in water treatment, water circulation system, aquaculture, aquarium, irrigation system, etc. PVC flange ball valve has good corrosion resistance, convenient installation and strong body. It is generally used in industrial water treatment system, industrial cooling water system, etc. General PVC ball valve working temperature is below 50℃, and also based on the system pressure.
